About this experience
Even without chef’s whites, a toque, and that characteristic accent, you can recreate the quintessential flavors of the French bistro at home. In this workshop, longtime New York restaurateur, private chef, and cooking instructor Chef Abigail Hitchcock will guide you through cooking à la française—turning simple ingredients into sensational French favorites. Served with some French wine and Edith Piaf playing in the background, you’ll be able to bring Paris home whenever you so desire.

Meet Chef Abigail Hitchcock
Longtime New York restaurateur Abigail Hitchcock grew up on Long Island’s rural East End, known for fishing and farming. She studied at the Institute of Culinary Education and worked as a private chef and on Martha Stewart Living television, and ran a catering company before opening Camaje restaurant in 1997. Chef Hitchcock was a contestant on Chopped! and was a judge on Beat Bobby Flay. In 2019 she rebranded Camaje as Abigail’s Kitchen, where she focuses on hands-on cooking classes, Dinners in the Dark (NYC's only blindfolded dining experience), and private events.
