About this experience
Taste Australia’s iconic sweet treats with Lisa Goldberg, chief pot stirrer of the celebrated Monday Morning Cooking Club. Lisa will guide you through making some of MMCC's favorites, which are sure to become a permanent part of your baking repertoire: from wafer to biscuit, from cake to pastry. Along the way she’ll whisk you away to Australia, sharing the local tales behind each sweet. After the workshop, you’ll want to prepare a hot cup of tea or coffee and enjoy your creations on the veranda, picturing Sydney Harbour, or wrap them up for a special delivery to a beloved friend or neighbor.

Meet Lisa Goldberg
Lisa Goldberg is a cookbook author and the chief pot stirrer of the Monday Morning Cooking Club, a group of four women who came together in 2006 to document and preserve recipes, to “contemporize” traditional recipes and “traditionalize” contemporary ones. Lisa has an unbridled passion for eating, cooking and nurturing those around her with food, which, along with her legal background, has given her a great foundation to help guide the Monday Morning Cooking Club sisterhood to produce and publish four extraordinary bestselling cookbooks. She is completely and utterly dedicated to, and fully immersed in, their delicious, inspiring and worthwhile project. In their fourth cookbook Now for Something Sweet, they have collected, curated and perfected their favorite and “can’t-live-without” sweet recipes from Jewish kitchens across Australia and the world, honoring and celebrating the most treasured family recipes, alongside moving stories of warmth, family, friendship, community and survival.
